Join the national Midwives in Genetics and Genomics (MiGGs) meeting this September to hear about 'Black women's experiences of prenatal testing in England'.

Are you a midwife or nurse working in the East Midlands or East of England? Join us for this session with Dr Michelle Peter, Social Scientist and Honorary Senior Research Fellow at UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, on Tuesday 22 September 2026, 1pm - 2.30pm via MS Teams.

Michelle will be presenting her recently published research and will explore:

  • Black women's experiences of prenatal testing in England
  • Key findings from a recent qualitative study published in BMC Pregnancy and Childbirth (2026)
  • Insights into challenges, experiences, and opportunities to improve maternity care
  • Implications for practice and equitable prenatal care
