Throughout summer 2026 we supported Becky Measures at BBC Radio Derby with her 'It Starts With You' inherited cancer awareness campaign.
'It Starts With You' is all about the importance of finding out about your family history of cancer, to understand your risk, and to open up a conversation about the importance of early diagnosis, screening and treatment, as well as wider testing of the family.
As part of this, we worked with Professor Julian Barwell and Clinical Genetics colleagues at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust to produce this short video in support of the campaign.
