Our Cambridge lab uses Epic Beaker as the Laboratory Information Management System.
Those based at CUH can place orders directly through Epic.
All other laboratory users should complete our test order forms in full and the information will be input into Epic on arrival at the lab. Reports will then be produced from Epic and sent securely to the test requester.
Test requests should list the National Genomics Test Directory (opens in a new tab) Clinical Indication code (“R” or “M” number) which best describes the reason for testing; however it is also essential that any further pertinent clinical information is included in order to help inform laboratory analysis. Please also ensure that a clear pool email address is included on orders to enable safe and timely email despatch of reports.
